Business Preparedness

Your business and mployees are worth protecting. If injury, illness or disaster strikes, would you and your employees be prepared to treat a co-worker, customer or anyone else visiting your facility – or even save a life? While you can not prevent emergencies, you can be prepared for them.

For more information on scheduling a free Be Red Cross Ready presentation for your organization or business, please contact Erica Streun, Community Preparedness Coordinator, at (518) 458-8111 ext. 5122 or via e-mail.

NEW! Virtually every state and nation in the world has now reported cases of the H1N1 virus (also known as swine flu). The WHO anticipates that the combined impact of the H1N1 virus and the seasonal flu could heavily impact organizations. The American Red Cross will continue to respond by quickly disseminating new information and resources to help people and organizations:

  • Limit the spread of H1N1 and seasonal flu through education on disease control techniques
  • Control the impact the H1N1 virus and seasonal flu have on their communities and workplaces
  • Aid in business sustainability in the face of pandemic flu

Disease outbreaks can suddenly and quickly incapacitate any organization, whether a multi-national company or a small community-based organization. It’s critical to take steps now to protect your employees, customers and business plan, in order to create a safer, more stable environment for everyone.
