Get yourself ready and prepared
There is no prediction of national crises current, however it may be a good idea to ensure that you have given some thought and preparation in cases of emergency. Depending on the area that you live in of course, your home and you community may be facing different risks. Here we would like to try and help you better understand the useful items which may be good to keep at home, as well as give help to what type of preparation can be done together in communities.
In the UK the main current risk which are faces may be fire and flood, and making a few small investments may help you keep yourself, your loved ones and your most valuable possessions safe. Our first recommendation is to ensure that you have a first aid kit in your home, this is an invaluable resource, as should an accident occur you will have quick access to aid, there are also first aid training courses available to the public. And we of course recommend that you check with your local Red Cross office as a first point to find them should you be interested.
Secondly it’s good to have a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher, as well as keep some long lasting and preserved food in your home, sufficient enough for your family for a period of time. Of course you can do all the preparation work at home, but one of the most valuable things to do in preparation, for accident, emergency, or national emergency is to be educated, to learn about and keep up to date with the current situation nationally, in your community and with yourself.
