Get Ready-Be Safe from the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York

Red Cross CDPHP Get Ready Be Safe

Free emergency preparedness resources courtesy of the Captial District Physicians´ Health Plan, presenting sponsor of the Get Ready-Be Safe program, and your local and national American Red Cross!

Disaster … every day in the United States, disasters happen. Disasters could be a family in your neighborhood forced out of their home by a fire … a community devastated by a tornado …a powerful hurricane … or, in this troubled era, it might be a terrorist attack.

The American Red Cross of Northeastern New York has been responding to emergencies for nearly 100 years. Our years of experience tell us that when families have already prepared a disaster plan they have a better chance of avoiding injury or fatality and are likely to recover more quickly from the effects of disaster.

The American Red Cross of Northeastern New York and the Capital District Physicians´ Health Plan are proud to offer Get Ready-Be Safe, our free emergency preparedness program. In one hour, American Red Cross-certified instructors will teach you simple steps that you and your family can take to be more prepared for emergencies.

For more information on attending a free Get Ready-Be Safe presentation, or scheduling a free presentation for your organization or business, please contact our Community Preparedness Coordinator at (518) 458-8111.

Special thanks to our 2008 Get Ready-Be Safe sponsors, Capital District Physicians´ Health Plan, presenting sponsor, and M&T Bank, NYSUT and Pioneer Savings Bank, our educational sponsors.
